Hello everyone, I've been looking through the tags, but I think I need a little extra help, especially with pointing out what I'm doing incorrectly or what I should probably improve on. I have a 9 week old Chow Chow puppy. I have had dogs before (golden retrievers and bulldogs), but I've never actually had a puppy, so this is all very new to me. I know Chows get alot of bad press, but just like pit bulls and rottweilers, I feel like it's all in how the dog is treated, trained, and socialized, and so they all can be wonderful dogs! (sorry, I've just had alot of telling me what a terrible decision I made in choosing a Chow puppy, and how he's going to become a rage-filled monster when he's older) Anyway, naturally I'm trying to be very involved and dedicated in making sure he gets trained and socialized as best as I can, but I've been encountering some problems. I would love for some advice and feel free to point out anything you feel I should adjust or change! He's generally a typical mostly-well behaved puppy, although I'm sensing he's starting to get into that more rebellious stage. ( Rest behind the cut )feeling:  curious

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are wanted at the Oscar ceremony by Adam Shankman's Twitter followers.
Producer Adam Shankman recently asked his 48.885 Twitter followers who they would like to see at the Oscar ceremony, and the response overwhelmingly included Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Adam Shankman asked, "Curious: what and who do [you] wanna see on the oscars? What would make [you] watch?" After reading the responses, he posted, "Wow! Big love for rob [Robert Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] and Zac [Efron] and Vanessa [Hudgens]! Interesting thing: the die hard fans of the show are anti [that] sort of thing."
According to THR, one follower tweeted, ""If Rob [Robert Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] present an award together, or even just Kristen since she wasn't invited (rude!) last [year], I'd [for] sure watch."

I know this is out of topic and will take delete it if needed, I'm just kind of desperate... A friend of mine who runs a rescue called me earlier today to see if my rescue would take a dog she'd pulled this morning. Originally she was going to the Oakland shelter to pick up a dog for another rescue, but as they were showing her some of the other animals she came across this very, very emanciated dog that was nothing but skin and bones looking all sad and depressed in a cage. They told her that she was going to be put down today and she felt so bad about that poor dog that she could not leave her there to die, so she ended up taking her too, just a few minutes before she was scheduled to be euthanized. We don't have any history on this dog other than it was left in the night drop box. She's been tested to food aggressiveness with people and she passed with flying colors. She's also good with other dogs, Kate took her home with her and she's meet her other dogs as well as a pair of very barky and in your face chihuahuas and the dog was really good with them. She's been named Gracie and right now we're trying everything we can to find her a foster home as she can't stay with Kate (Kate fosters a lot of the dogs from her rescue and has no space to keep this one, my rescue only has three foster homes including my self, and we're all over our limits too - usually I wouldn't mind taking an extra one for a couple of days but I'm fostering a dog aggressive dog and her two pups and have two other dogs of my own). I've been calling everyone I know and posting on CL but no one seems to be able to help :( Gracie is estimated to be about 1.5 to 2 years old, she's medium sized, is already vaccinated and will be heartworm tested before she goes to a foster home. She's supposed to be mostly white with tan spots but you can hardly tell because she's so filthy. She adores people and does good with other dogs. She's believed to be good with cats but we don't know for sure. If needed Kate has offered to donate food for her and we would provide with a crate and anything else. Please pass the word around. Ideally we would like to find her a foster home close to the El Cerrito/Richmond Area for easy transportation to our vet. I don't have any pictures now but Kate's gonna take some tomorrow morning.
